On Tuesday, WPI reported that the omnibus appropriations bill included the Growing Climate Solutions Act, prior to farm bill consideration. The legislation is designed to help create carbon markets and support farmers directly accessing those markets based on USDA’s technical assistance and certification. The concept is not unlike the Ag Marketing Service’s Process Verified Program (PVP).
