The inability of a market to hold a rally is not good if one is a bull. Prices continue to slide as the bullspreads in beans weaken. Weaker processor bids, lower crush, and a nice beginning planting pace help to send bean prices towards the lower end of trading ranges. On behalf of a private U.S. agricultural technology provider, WPI’s team generated an econometric model to forecast the movement of concentrated corn production north and west from the traditional U.S. Corn Belt.
