GOOD MORNING, Prices climbed higher in the night session though wheat was mixed. The extreme cold weather sent wheat prices higher last week, with prices falling lower as temperatures ease. Uncertainty over Russian new crop export policies continue to be digested by the market. Dec. corn traded to new contract highs on good exports and higher domestic use, perhaps following Matif corn which set a new contract high for the sixth day. There is persistent chatter about US PNW export interest for corn, though there are no AM sales at this point. However, the current rally may be reflecting business done but not announced. On behalf of a Canadian oilseed processer WPI's team provided market analysis, econometric modeling and financial due diligence in support of a $24 million-dollar investment in a Ukrainian crush plant. Consistent with WPI's findings, local production to supply the plant and the facility's output have expanded exponentially since the investment.
