GOOD MORNING, Prices opened a touch softer as positioning in front of Thursday's report takes place and the spreads continue to bounce around as Day 3 of the Goldman Roll continues. There was some bull-spreading for spreads as they sit at weekly lows under the pressure of the index roll. Overnight prices started firm for the soy complex, but turned lower by midday as further congestive price action took place. Prices continue to establish trading ranges moving into the summer, and more importantly into the June 30 Stocks/Acreage report. Weighing in on strategic realignment
WPI’s team was retained by the governing board of a U.S. industry organization to review a decision, reached by vote, to invest significant assets into the development and management of an export trading company. WPI’s team conducted a formal review of this decision and concluded that the current level of market saturation would limit the benefits of the investment. Based on WPI’s analysis and recommended actions, the board subsequently reversed its decision and undertook a strategic planning effort to identify more impactful investments.
