GOOD MORNING, The Quarterly Grain Stocks report is in the rear-view mirror, but it set in motion higher trade as bears have to decipher what smaller than expected ending stocks mean for their positions and future trading ranges. We have the data, and now it is the mission of the market to make sense out of those numbers in a digestion phase. Trading ranges moved higher to match the new fundamentals. The report was friendly beans and corn (more so the latter) with spill-over strength to wheat. Weighing in on strategic realignment
WPI’s team was retained by the governing board of a U.S. industry organization to review a decision, reached by vote, to invest significant assets into the development and management of an export trading company. WPI’s team conducted a formal review of this decision and concluded that the current level of market saturation would limit the benefits of the investment. Based on WPI’s analysis and recommended actions, the board subsequently reversed its decision and undertook a strategic planning effort to identify more impactful investments.
