Weather support and trade optimism boosted the grains markets today. The spread unwinding that hammered the wheat market yesterday was done, allowing the complex to recover. Livestock futures were mixed with a bullish rally stalled for today. U.S. equities mixed presently with the S&P up fractionally and the Dow down 1/3 of one percent. The CBOE’s VIX index is down 8 points while COMEX gold is up $1/ounce. The U.S. dollar is up another 5 points at 93.59 while the Brazilian real and Argentine peso are 1.2 and 0.3 percent higher, respectively. Corn July corn gained 2 cents/bushel today and remained above the 10- and 20-day MA. December corn added 2 ¼ cents in value and remains above the relevant moving averages...
