Export Sales and Shipments for April 11-17, 2025 Wheat: Net sales reductions of 145,000 metric tons (MT) for 2024/2025 were down noticeably from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average. Export shipments of 479,600 MT were down 1 percent from the previous week, but up 10 percent from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily to Vietnam (133,600 MT), Mexico (96,400 MT), the Philippines (64,700 MT), Thailand (58,800 MT), and Taiwan (26,200 MT). Weighing in on strategic realignment
WPI’s team was retained by the governing board of a U.S. industry organization to review a decision, reached by vote, to invest significant assets into the development and management of an export trading company. WPI’s team conducted a formal review of this decision and concluded that the current level of market saturation would limit the benefits of the investment. Based on WPI’s analysis and recommended actions, the board subsequently reversed its decision and undertook a strategic planning effort to identify more impactful investments.
