General Comments There was light selling across the agricultural markets overnight and throughout today's trading session. Only July corn futures and July Chicago wheat futures showed any semblance of strength, with July corn rallying in the last few minutes of trading. There really isn't any fresh news. It remains very wet across the Northern Plains and western Corn Belt. Planting progress across much of the northern U.S. will continue to be very slow. Forecasting developments in production agriculture
On behalf of a private U.S. agricultural technology provider, WPI’s team generated an econometric model to forecast the movement of concentrated corn production north and west from the traditional U.S. Corn Belt.
