General Comments There was not a lot of fresh news overnight and today for the grain and oilseed markets to trade. That was the case last Friday as well and might be the case until we get to the 28 June quarterly stocks and acreage reports. Weather does look warmer and drier, and that put pressure on the soybean complex as the trade expects the full complement of soybean acres to finally get in the ground. There are some discrepancies in the extended forecasts. The words "dome" and "ridge" appear over the western Corn Belt outlooks, but don't appear to be a long-term threat today. Forecasting developments in production agriculture
On behalf of a private U.S. agricultural technology provider, WPI’s team generated an econometric model to forecast the movement of concentrated corn production north and west from the traditional U.S. Corn Belt.
