Soybeans continue to lead the markets higher on the continuing treat of hot, dry weather encompassing more of the northern Plains and Corn Belt. Corn, though, is reluctant to embrace a weather market. General Comments Markets opened with strong gains Sunday evening as corn and soybean futures traded at their highest levels since June 2016, and the session’s trading volume was quite large. Weekend weather updates continued to show the hot, dry weather eventually pushing even farther to the east than was expected last Friday.
