Corn Argentina The corn harvest had its biggest weekly advance since it started with 3.2 percent of fields harvested last week. That brings the total harvest accomplished to 10 percent of the area. As the combines advance, low and very heterogeneous yields are being confirmed. Not only are yields below historical averages but they are also below what was expected a few days ago due to the lack of rain during critical periods. Of the unharvested area, 63 percent of the early corn is good to excellent, while the late corn is 95 percent good/excellent. Weighing in on strategic realignment
WPI’s team was retained by the governing board of a U.S. industry organization to review a decision, reached by vote, to invest significant assets into the development and management of an export trading company. WPI’s team conducted a formal review of this decision and concluded that the current level of market saturation would limit the benefits of the investment. Based on WPI’s analysis and recommended actions, the board subsequently reversed its decision and undertook a strategic planning effort to identify more impactful investments.
