This will be the first sale of U.S. corn to Egypt in quite a few months. Egypt and Israel are the destinations for the first Ukraine wheat shipment from the temporary grain corridor set up by Ukraine from Odesa. A total of 20,000 MT of wheat was reportedly shipped. Egypt’s Ministry of Supply reported purchases of 3.8 MMT of local wheat against the original target of 4 MMT. It also reports that Egypt’s wheat supply stands at five months consumption. On behalf of a Canadian oilseed processer WPI's team provided market analysis, econometric modeling and financial due diligence in support of a $24 million-dollar investment in a Ukrainian crush plant. Consistent with WPI's findings, local production to supply the plant and the facility's output have expanded exponentially since the investment.
