The Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP) is “under directives” to import 2.3MMT of wheat this year and has imported 338,000 MT prior to the current vessels. Pakistan is expected to import 3 MMT of wheat this 2021/22 year. Pakistan will supply 50,000 MT of wheat to the World Food Program – 10,000 MT as a donation and 40,000 as a sale – for use in Afghanistan.
