New Canola Plant to Be Built in Oklahoma Traditionally, canola is not a crop that has been grown in Oklahoma. However, producers have been experimenting with growing winter canola in recent years and have had some success. The greatest limiting factor has been the lack of a local market for its production. That will now change in 2015 as a result of a decision by Northstar Agri Industries, a subsidiary of PICO Holdings, Inc., to build a canola processing plant in Enid, Oklahoma.
